味の素(株)『味をたがやす : 味の素八十年史』(1990.07)

This two-section shashi is an 80-year history of the company from its establishment in 1908. Section 1 covers the pre-WWII period and comprises a prologue entitled “Ikeda Kikunae to nidai Saburosuke” (Ikeda Kikunae and Saburosuke II) followed by three chapters. It is written in a clear, narrative style. Section 2 covers the later period, from the post-war era until 1988, and comprises four chapters divided chronologically that each take a business history approach including discussion from production, market, and organizational standpoints.
